[HajiMayo] The time you spend on your rose - 4.5

 [CHAPTER 4.5 - deadline expired]

The book dropped to the floor with a loud thump and Hajime plopped on the bed with a heavy sigh, face buried in the pillow.

Next to him, the calendar marked a week since he had started the exercise and failed consistently, so he knew what he should do next. Sure, he could simply not contact Mayoi, but ghosting the senpai was absolutely out of the question… and he felt he would be found anyway if he dared to try it.

So Hajime lifted his eyes, weighing a massive defeat while slowly typing on his phone with just one hand.

[From: Hajime Shino]

[Hello, Ayase-senpai! Sorry to bother, but… it has been a week since you gave me the lesson plan…]

[I’m really sorry to say I failed task 1. You asked me to tell you, so…]

[Again. Sorry.]

The phone buzzed in response in less than a minute, barely giving him space to mourn his heavy sensation of failure.

[Please don’t apologize, Hajime-san! I know you have been working hard and diligently, and I commend you for reaching out to me so fast. I knew you would be honest no matter what!!! So don’t give up yet, okay?]

[Can I book the practice room for next week? I’ll send you the schedule if it works for you.]

[Once you accept it, there is no turning back, okay? :)]

As much as Hajime felt he was texting with the white serpent of his nightmares in person…

[From: Hajime Shino]

[It works for me, yes. Thank you very much, Ayase-senpai.]

[ I’ll be in your care again.]

Running away wasn’t a feasible option anymore.

… should I ask Aira-kun what could be waiting for me…?
